Yup, if you aren't going the HID route, definitely go with Silverstars. I've tried numerous lights, and Silverstars were by far the best.

Luminics bulbs are a great option, loved my Ultra Whites until I went with an HID kit
Had seen folks talking about the Lummies but never read into them...must be pretty good....?????

I've had a set of 9007 that I used and really liked them and I've had friends who used Luminics and liked them. I got nothing but good to say about them.

Do not use Luminics, I had a set of them in my SAAB until recently, they looked great but light output wasn't great, and when I pulled the bulbs, they both had HUGE bubbles in the glass coming off the side of it. Almost to the point it seemed like the bulbs themselves were going to pop. I replaced them with Silverstars for the time being while I wait for my DDM HID kit to get here, and much happier with the Silverstars.

You're welcome!
I would definitely call and double check with Advance. I know at Auto Zone a pair goes for $49.99. They also sells the bulbs indiviually which might have been what you are thinking of price wise because a single bulb is obviously cheaper but you still get ass raped. I got three pairs of Silver Stars on eBay for what one pair costs at Auto Zone.
Yeah, my local Walmart only carries 9005 & 9006 Silver Stars anymore I believe. This is fine by me because that's what the Vibe uses, but the price is still way high compared to eBay.
Also, for all of the Silver Star fans in this thread,
Sylvania now makes smaller Silver Star bulbs that light up a nice bright white just like the headlights. I got a pair of 921s for the Vibe's reverse lights at Auto Zone for $7.99. They are very bright compared to the regular bulbs. I can actually see through my tinted rear window when I back up now
! Just thought I'd share this information as I myself just found out a couple weeks ago they make these. Unfortunately they have stopped making their bulbs that were a purplish-bluish color and lit up amber
