1996 Mustang 3.8l v6 5 speed car. Stage 1 comp cam, head shaved 5/1000's, spec stage 2 clutch, BBK air intake, shorty headers, exhaust cut off right behind where the muffler was, fiberglass ram air hood (summit racing brand) xenon side skirts, altezza tail lights, and yes, only 26,769 actual miles!! Needs a new bumper, headlight and one wheel but I was going to replace those anyways. $1600
Hope is not a plan. Change is not a destination.
not a bad price and good call on the low mileage.
get a 4.6 swap going and you'll be in business!

He's probably as fast as a 4.6 SOHC right now.
Going to go through the hassle of a swap might as well do it big.
I dunno...would a 3-valve 4.6 go in there without too much pain? 300 HP stock, and easy to get 500-550 with forced induction...

LS1 swap. or at least get rid of the gaytezza tail lights
Im a Xbox 360 fanboy...and damn proud of it!!
I doubt that thing has 26k miles. Id swap in a 5.0, never been a fan of the mod motors. pretty much all drivetrain parts interchange from the foxbody.
Have to agree. 5.0 FTW. Cheap, easy, great power, millions of options.

Why bother with a swap when you can buy a 94-98 gt's for 3k all day long.....
Needs new tail lights also!!!!
Not unintentionally accelerating since 2009!!!!

Most are high mileage and beat, but you can find decent deals on them. There not as sought after as the fox bodies.
Good deal, I'd really like to see better pics of it when it's nicer out. I'm sure those pics do it no justice. Now i might be waaaay off here but isn't the 3.8 in the mustang the exact same block as the 3.8 in the MN12 Thunderbirds? Why not swap in a Thunderbird SC motor and build it up.

I'm actually planning on just running the 3.8 as is until it blows or I have the money to swap a 351 Windsor with a t5 and 4.11 9" detroit locker rear end and actually push 550 horse N/A or 750 horse with a procharger. Right now its just a fun toy to cruise in. I really was blown right the f*ck away with the power it has as is, 80+ in 3rd gear but I didn't wanna go any faster cuz I was in a 70mph zone in an area that is cop prone. Takes no time getting up there either and I love the rumble of that cam...picked up a chick in Minneapolis at midnight on a thursday hahaha. I know I need rims and a car wash and a few other parts though.
But I checked it out, the service records he showed me all matched up with the odometer. He bought it like 3 months ago from a guy who basically garage kept it for its entire life, he built it up a decent amount, and now him and his gf have a baby on the way so they needed something bigger or to just dump it at a loss...so I got lucky this time.
P.S. I'll take better pics in a few weeks when I have a new headlight, bumper and rims on it along with a good wash and wax

It is a great car for the money. You will have a LOT of fun per dollar, and that's one of the real plusses of domestics.

I hate the look of these....but for the price, not a bad pick up.
Sorry Bill, nobody is fighting. Now that you're gone all the grown-ups get along, just fine
BTW Bill, your sig is too big and contains foul language.

I even just found a new set of non-fogged up headlights for $10 right by my house
those, a bumper and a door and I'm set with that care for 10 years. It helps that my cousin knows one of the head marketing guys for Ford Racing, so I get about 50% off any parts I want....ordering the short throw shifter in 2 weeks =D

I say it's a good buy for the price!
Just sucks these 3.8's had like 145 hp stock...lol
Looks pretty rough for 26k miles..........
Ive had some fun in a few 5.0 swapped cars.
The guy had it parked and it got hit in the front end. Really its just the bumper and headlight that are bad on it. The door also needs to either be straightened or replaced (but that's only $75 at my local junkyard) and I need a small amount of fiberglass work on the drivers side skirt. But I'm waiting until I can get the 351 windsor to build to at LEAST 550 horse...and that's if its naturally aspirated.
But its definitely not 145hp anymore lol that fu**er had some chomp to it when I took it for the test drive....I would say closer to 200 horse plus the stage 2 spec clutch makes it a lot more fun...it outruns mid 90's 5.7l automatic camaros no problem

I have a hard time believing someone dug into the motor of a 25K mile V6...... something in there is fishy.
On the other hand....you have other fingers.

How's it out run 275-305 hp lt1 camaro's when you say it has close to 200 hp and they both weigh about the same.....
Theres no way in hell a v6 mustang of that era will beat anything with an LT1 in it
