And you didnt invite me? Bastard.
But anyways.... god damn that was a tight show. I love the Grade A airbrushing at car shows.
K-NEX!
Used to love playing with them!
I wish the World Of Wheels was that bad@ss in Minneapolis
Hope is not a plan. Change is not a destination.
wow those knex bikes are nuts. i think i would go insane with trying to do that!! LOL
love the wrinkle flat powdercoating on the subie charge pipes. that looks mint.

you think its bad in MPLS? come up to Duluth...same exact @!#$, year after year...
K-Nex wins! I only have pieces scattered here and there in random boxes from moves over the years.
That lime green and black caprice is in my town, belongs to one of my friends dad. Mike Lavalle did the true fire on it
Looks like a good show. I plan on going to the show when it gets here to Chicago.

You beat me to posting my pics! lol
I was there on Saturday and got pre-registered for Slamology. Most of the Gauge Hall cars (the Flat Black Z, all the Scikotics xB's and the 2 s2000s) were at Slamology last year. I was kinda disappointed in the turnout for that section. The main hall was gorgeous! The cars that Roseville HS brought down were amazing! I still have a hard time believing those cars were built by high schoolers! And I'm not a huge rat-rod guy, but there were a lot of badass cars there too.
Overall, a much better show than Grand Rapids ever turned out
Now With More Carbon Fiber!
Went to the show in ATL, was highly disappointed. Looks like your show had some nice cars. There were a few nice cars at Atlanta's, but same typical old school rods, nothing special, and the tuners sucked. :/

Jason did you see this bike there?
all i have to say is i love that wooded rat rod.. the wood i am learning on airbrushins looks nothing like that.. definitely badass work there
yeah the 350 z (mike shaw) was in modified last year and he was also in their calander that just came out. im not sure if the subie was in it or not.
stephen yeah i saw that there. was that one you guys did?
twisted, yeah i saw that lavalle had did the flames on it and im still not sure if i truly liked them or not. they were very clean and i think that is the problem i have with them and some others ive seen, is when they get that clean they just sort of lose a bit of the realism to me.

YEah I know what you mean..the true fire I paint is a lil"whacky" you could say compared to his. Either way that cars got a lot of time and paint into it lol. Only thing I disliked about the whole build being around it was the rood mounted 3rd brake light bar he put in.
i was kinda digging the light bar. can't remember if he had removed his stock tails, i thought they were still there wich if they were im thinking its a bit overkill. and think he could have designed the bar to be a little less intrusive and large as it was. but overall i kinda dug it.
as for the flames i think what bothered me is he had this entire themed paintjob with the green then the whole dark part with the realistic trueflames seemed out of place for the rest of the build. i know its on the air cleaner cover but to me it didnt fit. id of liked it better all green i think. and then done the interior or engine in the dark color.
i just think the flames look a little to clean for me. the downside is i think my flames are a bit too dirty lol. i need to find someone who is between my painter and lavelle lol

He may have fixed it since the last show I was at with them, but the housing for the lights was cracking, and its because of the way he designed it...thats my dislike of it, I can post pics of the build up of it if you want.
