Me too, I like it so far. It's a fun little car to toss around. I just needed a nice little Daily Driver to get back and forth to work. And be my winter beater when i buy my Camaro next year.
Looks like you got the LT coupe. Is it the LT 1 or 2

I never had an auto loan before in my name, was always in my parents.... and I somehow got a $30k boat and a $15K truck in my name.. I only have student loans and a credit card.
Couldn't you have tried a credit union or something else besides dealer financing?

Do you know the terms he got? It may not be that bad...dealers are working hard to sell cars these day.

For sure.. look how many companies are offering 0% if you have good credit. Credit is hard to get anywhere right now if you have a few blemishes, just a sign of the times, but it should change pretty soon.
should have gotten a 07 cobalt SS or even a lightly used 08-09 for the price of a brand new LS.
but thats my opinion.
its a trade off i would imagine the Lt would be less to insure then a SS. Use the money you save from the montly payment and insurance and give Hahn a call.

Used car loans are considerably higher interest and also harder to get. Sometimes it's not just about the dollar value, but also the availability of financing. Warranties also rock.
Another thing to keep in mind is this...you're hard pressed to find a used SS that isn't already thrashed.

A lot of banks are leary to finance a used car with someone who has mediocre credit because mileage and resale value come into play. They are covering themselves in case something should happen, they would like to get a decent return on their investment.
In any case, nice car! Enjoy it, have fun with it, but above all appreciate it!
looking good. who cares if its not a SS. get what you can afford dude. you will be happy with it. i have no complaints on my G5 at all.

Well put Bill. I had a hell of a time getting a decent car loan. My credit is flawless but the last time i financed anything was 2005. The lack of recent "loan history" was keeping me from getting a good interest rate. They told me even with my many years of perfect credit history with out any recent loan history i may as well have bad credit. This new economy is retarded. So i paid 50% upfront on my 2010 Cobalt for and financed the other half super cheap so i can get some loan history and finally get an acceptable interest rate. Cody you're paying student loans....so you have loan history. That's why you have no problem getting a good loan. These days it doesn't matter if you pay your credit cards, phone bill, and rent...if you don't have any recently paid on or paid off installment loans you will be raked over the coals on interest rates.

So, I have started modding already, less than a week. I just put in 10k HIDs. and im wiring up my subs tomorrow, and I am tinting tails as I type this
why did you go 10k ? going that high kills the visibility from what people have said,
I think 10k looks retarded too. BUUUUT Its def. better than stock.
I approve.
Because I requested 8k, and they arrived, I looked in the box, there sat a 10k kit, so it went on
send them back and get 6k?
where did you order the HID's? how much?
congrats on the new ride

If you're looking for some, I suggest the DDM Tuning kit, I love mine as do other locals.
Nice color 'balt!
I also vouch for DDM.. I have 3 kits from different makers and DDM is by far the best I have owned.
Got the kit from a local (same state) business. dont recall the name at the moment. Thanks everyone for the comments.
Did you get a stick or an auto?
Auto's can only hold so much power vs. the manuals.
