JUst interested to hear the stores...
A co worker just put a set of GT radial tires on her GP. In less than 1000 miles, half the set is gone.
One tire shredded, the other picked up a pen......
I used to work at a tire shop, so this thread really caught my eye lol.
Good Year RS-A's(stock LS Sport tires), and ALL of GM's stock Good Years they put on their small and mid size cars. Whatever the lowest priced, worst Good Year tire is out, GM slaps em on their cars. And they suck big time.
On the other hand....you have other fingers.
Some say he invented November.
I agree about the Good Years, especially now that I work at a GM dealer. Also hated when I worked at walmart the douglas tire, dirt cheap and you got what you payed for.
I know the Integs really suck....
Wife's stock GY conquests made it to 50k.....
Haha thats funny, because I was just complaining today about the sucky ass Goodyear Eagle LS tires that came stock on my daily Kia Spectra5.
Goodyear Viva 2's are what I have on my car now, came with the car when I bought them, and they were brand new, so I havent wasted time on them yet, but only after having them 2 years, and 10k miles, they are dryrotting FAST, especially where the sidewall meets the tread is all cracked up, and some in the sidewall is cracked some.
POS
Sounds like Goodyear just needs to die!

Same here since '96.....Had issues with the General tires busting belts and also the RSA's cracking and such......same for dry rot on Michelin but they normally held together....

Dunlop SP Sport A2. I think I got around 25k with them. They were terrible when going through any standing water, I'd be all over the place. After switching to my Kumhos, I could really tell a difference, the Dunlops were awful.
Goodforayears do suck. I replaced a lot of them. Really, most OEM tires suck in some way.
Eagle RSA's. WORST tire known to man.
^ i hated those so bad. i got a free set from my mom! lol

I hated them, but some people like them I guess.
Kenda Kineticas came on our Saturn when we bought it, Talk about POS tire, the damn things were so out of round we thought something was wrong with the car till our mechanic told us he couldn't even balance one of them because it was so @!#$ up. It was like driving on ice every time it rained, even just enough rain to make the pavement wet we'd go sliding, they had no grip. I don't care how cheap you are if you buy these tires for your family vehicle(s) then you must hate your family.
10 yrs ago I bought General Ameri G4S's for the Cavy, they were ok for the first 20,000 mi then it was like drving on ice, they lost all grip except when it was dry and one of the back tires belt broke.
We had a set of GoodYear Integrity's on the Cutlass we had. They were ok except the belts broke in two of the tires.
Firestones that originally came on Saturn S series. in the 2nd year my dad had his new Saturn the OEM Firestones had dry rot cracking all around the tread, he ended up replacing them because he thought the tread was going to seperate. Of course this was when Ford & Firestone were dealing with their tread seperation issues.
Goodyear Eagle RS-A....The female has them on her 2007 Mazda 3. At 21,000 miles they are SHOT. I mean down to the wear bars. They are also cupping.
PRND321 Till I DIE
Old Motor: 160whp & 152ft/lbs, 1/4 Mile 15.4 @88.2
M45 + LD9 + 4T40-E, GO GO GO
So then....whats a goo All Season tire to get for a DD....lol
Kuhmo ESCTA's..... Soo much road noise and when the weather was cold they had flat spots in them every morning. Pissed me right off...
Good year RSAs garbage in any weather
Kumhos pretty much the same as above and they dont last for @!#$, i had some go at 10,000 miles
1989 Turbo Trans Am #82, 2007 Cobalt SS G85
I cant remember the tire, but the goodyears that came stock on the CTS Sport Luxury were amazing...75k+ miles of me beating the @!#$ out of them and only the right rear was bad when i replaced them...
Worst tires I have had on my cavi. I have had cheap Roadmaster tires on their and they made all sorts of noise and maybe lasted 15k miles. The next set that I hated was the Goodyear Eagle GT2. I had a pair of those for maybe 14 months before they decided to get stuck to the concrete at the long term parking garage at the airport In Vegas. That was a scary ride all the way back to Barstow, Ca. Damn cord was showing and vibrated like crazy because of that.
The best tires I have owned was a set of BFG Traction TA tires on the cavi. close to 45k miles on those before they needed replaced. To bad the motor went at the same time the tires went. LOL.

Even though Cooper tire owns part of Kenda, I wouldn't touch them with a ten foot pole......
No Firestones, thank you. Tires have some thin walls...
I find it funny how bad some of the Goodyear tires are, but their Kelly -springfield line does pretty well.
Wife's Cav has Kelly Nav Golds on them, and they are holding up very well.....
I had Michelin's on my old rwd Cutlass. They would spin pulling away from a red light going up hill with the slightest amount of rain on the road. That didn't happen with the Goodyears that were on it when I bought it or with the BF Goodrich I had on after. Probably would never buy them again.
I have the goodyear rsa's on my sunfire with the LSS rims, and they are still treating me relatively well...
As for really @!#$ty tires... whatever was on my olds haha
