Looking around on craigslist..
I see Trans Ams are more than Camaros.
I see 6 spds are more than automatics.
One could buy an ls1 automatic Camaro with 100K miles for the price of a LT1 Trans Am with a 6spd and 150K miles.
What's up with that? Even auto for auto, the Camaros are in waaayyy better shape with less miles, usually for less money.
For the "trans am" option it's anywhere from 1-3K more! The 6 spds are running about 1-2K more...at least to similarly equipped vehicles.
A friend of mine said it was because Pontiac went under so people think they are more valuable..and can't argue that the 6 spds are more fun! Any truth to the Pontiac thing though?
6 speeds are harder to find than auto's. I bet 1 manual per 9 autos.
thats exactly the reason...because pontiac went under and the camaro is now still around the retail on them is going higher...hence y my shell is still here getting rebuilt from the ground up....
the t/a has always been more expensive than the camaros for one reason or another...may it be the interior quality, or the sheer styling...ive always liked the t/a over the maros personally because i think they look more agressive without being to over the top...
so if u can find an ls1 ta for anything less than 7k snatch it real quick..lol

Theirs a 98 camaro z28 convertible 6 spd with 100k in gc on the cincinnati craigslist for 6k...... cheapest ls1 convertible 6 speed I've seen.
I think the trans am's are much better looking than the camaro's. The camaros seems very bland looking. Everyone wants a 6 speed as well
