Well, he goes and gets his own!
My dad was having so much fun helping me restore my CJ that he decided he needed an old 4x4 to tool around with too. At first he was gonna buy a newer wrangler, but he couldn't pass up the deal he got on this. It's a '72 GMC Jimmy, with a 350 carbed and 3 speed auto. Recently had a Goodwrench crate motor and rebuilt transmission. Needs a little bit of work, but it's so much fun!
Enjoy! I know we will.

They look a hell of alot better than a 3rd gen F-body and you dont need a mullet to own one.
I would love to pick up a blazer/jimmy instead of my truck(69 C/10). Those trucks have ALOT of potential and are very simple compared to something like my cav. I'd be interested in seeing it finished.

plans at the moment are fairly simple: fix the rust and paint it, small 4" lift, and 33" tires.

believe it or not, it actually gets around 16-18 on the highway.
i'll get some better pics as soon as my dad brings it back today, but it's actually in pretty damn good shape for being an all original, Iowa car.
