Hope you all appreciate it. this winter i am going do a frame up restore.
here she is
Lawnmower racing next year???
Daily mower, and antique tractor show at the fair next year.
That's cool to see ur doing that.I just this past winter and spring restored my wifes cousins 99 scotts with a 20hp b/s intek and 46in deck. This mower was SO abused, left outside uncovered never cleaned and get this oil never changed till this yr(I was like !@#$).Any way I removed the deck stripped fixed all the rust HOLES,rebuilt the shafts, all new hardware, primed painted, undercoated the bottom. The wiring was so,so replaced the batt cables,12 volt contact, saftey sensors 2 were toast, and lots more.In short removed the hood headlights, grill, sanded primed painted the entire mower and just to much other stuff like removing gas tank cleaning and total tune up,new hardware everywhere. It was a challenge and this was a john deere made unit with the scotts name plate. This mower is stored in my building since my cousin lives one house over to keep it dry,and he now washes it off each time and drys it off before putting it back! I was suprised the engine lived that long with the oil in and orig filter.I have no pics but,if I get the time I will take some to show its newly restored appearance.Good luck
absolutely the most pimp work in progress in the org!
That's funny, i had my hopes up though lol
forest gump would be proud.
How's the gas mileage on that thing?
gas mileage is good. just mowed 2 acres with 1 gallon of gas. hells. yeah, now does anybody know to get a hold of the guy that makes the stickers, i want to start gathering parts. also going to see if i can pull the engine cover in the next month to get it welded and send it off to the sand blaster.
