Could you imagine if they brought back the Bel Air name plate?
I think somebody got the prices mixed up, I don't see anybody paying nearly $50,000 for a new chevy sedan.
I'm glad they are bringing it back, but the Caprice is a horrible name. We need a revamp of the Chevelle.
Paying someone to install parts and bragging about it being fast, is like watching someone bang your wife and being proud to raise their kids.
I'm waiting on the "Alpha" derived Camaro for 2014, which is to be lighter, smaller, then the current "Zeta" it is on. That platform will also underpin Cadillac's 3-series fighter the ATS, which is so needed.
Now, if the SS doesn't come out for the public, you can wait for those government auctions and pick up the new Caprice then. lulz

So the Caprice needs to be called a Malibu and then have a Chevelle version made from it??
No, just ditch the name Caprice all together...

This. All I think of when I hear "Caprice" are those god-awful Caprice Donks sitting on 30" rims...

i like the car! dislike the hood.
What makes chevy think that a v8 4 door is going to sell now? There was probably a reason why they were all short lived.

^Tell that line to Dodge, with the new 2nd Charger coming out this fall.

You do realize that the G8 was selling great right?

You are correct, Dodge is coming out with a second generation of their Charger, but I also believe that they did come out with it at the right time for it to be #1 on the charts.
Transporter7220: The g8 sales were amazing, but I think it was a little behind it's time as far as user friendly driver interatction.

What's wrong with just making it the new Impala?

That would make to much sense.
if this car makes it to the sales floor , it will be the next new car i buy , if it doesnt make it GM wont get a dime from me on any new vehicles , i dont want some pissy little car with 4cyl power , i want a large comfortable with enough balls to pass a car at 80mph , and kill the best from europe

I ask this because people think it should be called Chevelle, or be the new Malibu. and the morons at GM thank it should be called the Caprice. The current Impala has been around since 1999...it NEEDS a replacement, this would be the absolute perfect new Impala. And the Malibu would be perfect as the next step down car.
There is no reason to kill the Impala name, just improve the car.
