... and hello to a sexy new one.
After 9-1/2 years, it was finally time to say goodbye to the Cavy. It did me well, the only trouble I ever had with it was an AC compressor clutch bearing. It still looked pretty damn good, but there was some rust peeking through the right side quarter panel and I knew that I'd be fighting an uphill battle against that. So I had to let it go:
During its better days parked on the backstretch of the Daytona International Speedway:
I also peaced-out on my 2003 Buell Lightning XB9SL. I bought this bike as an impulse buy last April because I've always loved the new-style Buells, but owning two bikes in a climate where it snows for six months and rains for the other six months isn't exactly practical. Luckily I'll be able to see this bike almost daily since I sold it to a co-worker.
So, where does that leave me? Oh yes:
It's a 2007 Mazda CX-7. Grand Touring package, navi, AWD, pretty much everything you can get. Compared to the Cavy, it's really not even a comparison. The handling, acceleration, brakes, comfort, build quality, everything is so far ahead it's amazing. I got exactly what I wanted - a smaller vehicle with all-wheel-drive and a lot of useable space that's also fun to drive. And considering what I paid for it, well, I'm pretty geeked right now
I still have to give it a good buff and wax (if it would quit raining for like one day maybe) and touch up a few paint nicks and such, but I'll be posting up lots of pictures shortly.
I already ordered an
iPod/iPhone adapter so I don't have to listen to crappy FM radio, so that'll be in next week. Aside from that, maybe a CorkSport intake so I can hear that sweet turbo music more clearly, a Forge diverter valve to keep my boost from leaking off, and possibly a set of 20's like
these or
these.
Questions, comments, etc. appreciated!

Very nice, but if I had to get one of those wheels you picked, I would say the first set. I dont know why, but the second set just doesnt seem right to me. Either way, good luck!!

I believe they all come with the 2.3l v6 turbo. PRETTY sure.
LOVE it bro. I test drove one at a local dealer and I was in love. Other than the not so good fuel economy, I had absolutely nothing to complain about. I even love how they look.
BOV! There is a local guy that hangs out at the Sheetz I hang out at that has a BOV on his and it is amazing. Just saying. hahahaha.
Hanging out at a gas station and putting a bov on an suv..... Yeah be like that cool kid!

Haha if I had a turbod car, I would want the isntant gratification that comes from the sound of a BOV, regardless of what it is.
doing mods for noise is about as retarded and ricey as it gets. And you know that's the ONLY reason your ricer friends put BOV's on their cars
