ive seen the pic of what it could of looked like. and quite frankly. it looks sexy as hell. why did they never put that into production, they would have sold so many.
thought it was worth posting about. anyone got any thoughts?
No they wouldn't have. People don't buy cheap convertibles, most ppl in that price range are not looking for an econobox in today's age.

Which is kind of stupid. I'd rather have a cheap convertible than an expensive one.
2010 Honda Fit LX
did gm make a prototype or did someone just ps it?
just posting this here for reference. It is a photoshop. Never made.
thats not sexy. reason they didnt put it into production is because GM most likely learned their lesson from the cavalier/fire droptops lol. but ASC went out of business i believe.
I would assume because they did make this, no reason to cannibalize sales.
I miss my Cavalier, even if it made 100 hp on a cold day and had more suspension then it deserved.
The G6 has a totally different body line to make in convertible. It looks great.
There is something about the Cobalt that doesn't fit.
No demand for an econobox vert.
I don't think it looks terrible. But there wasn't a market for an econobox very
I think it had something to do with the Saturn Sky, and Pontiac Solstice if I remember correctly. Producing a convertible Cobalt/G5 would have really impacted the sales of the Sky/Solstice at the time.
I think that balt looks like a toy, I wouldn't drive it.
Remove the spoiler and it would look good. Spoiler kills it for some reason
I like it though I think it would look better with the low rise spoiler option.
with the sky and solstice theres really not a need for such a thing

But the Sky/Solstice dont exist anymore soooooo.....Cruze Vert?
A convertible Cruze? LOL
Why take one of the most un-exciting cars to drive and own ever built and make it convertible? A convertible Subaru Justy would of been even better than that,
i gotta admit that white one looks good.
I have seen that cobalt ss convert at a car show here in MI its a gm concept car I believe. Looks cool!
the one in the vid looks funny cause they chopped the windshield. if they didn't i think it would look so much better
