Over the last weekend I traded in my 98 Firebird for a 2011 Ford Fiesta, when this car first came out I never thought I'd get this(mostly because of the name) but after much review (also a certain Top Gear video) I ended up getting this car. I wasn't huge on the color at first but its growing on me. My two prior daily drivers was a 00 Z24 Vert and the 98 Firebird and I love this car. This car has the 6spd dry dual clutch auto with the SYNC system as well, for such a small engine I'm constantly thinking I'm going to get a ticket because how smooth it is and not noticing myself doing 10 over the limit. Future plans are a Boomco Boomerang armrest and Tint.
Huge trunk space surprisingly
The Firebird and the Fiesta next to each other.
I really needed a much more reliable car lately since I've been looking for a new job and in TV you need to move to another market to do so and the Firebird has been plaguing me with problems. It was sad to see her go after 5 years of ownership and all. However it is nice wanting to go for a drive for no reason because the fear of a breakdown is gone and gas prices along with the whole SYNC system is really fun once you get the hang of it.

...Ah, metaphysics.
I like it. That gauge and panel setup is crazy in those things. But I like it because of that.
And my pap had a 89 Trans Am and had nothing but problems with it.... but he, and I both, loved it regardless.
SE right? prob be buying one of these later in the year, the sedan has a much bigger trunk but would really prefer the hatch.

The sedan is really nice and i think a little more space, but the hatch is the hotness.
It look awesome John. Good choice. I can even dig the color.

Indeed the Hatch is hotness but about 2 grand out of my budget at the time.

Yeah, its still quite sporty in its own sense for a super gas saver.
Only going to do a few things to it, first is get a armrest for it, found this and it looks sweet:
Boomco Armrest, Tint it and I was possibly considering a Euro Plate on the front even though most people wouldn't get it.
Also if you never saw it on Top Gear I think Ford Dealers need to use this to help sell the car.

Yup, this thing is rated 28 city 38 hwy, the computer says its getting 29.2mpg right now and that's all city driving and not driving it like a granny.

28 city and 38 hwy?? wow we just got them in our fleet (i work for a car rental company) and the sticker on the window said 41 city and 55 hwy. it will be interesting to see what your avg mpg will be.
150.0 DB, Loudest in Atlantic Canada, Street Class A.
Next year 155 DB
Canada's rating system is different. Our Fit had a similar rating, and our Corolla was rated 36 city and 50 hwy. Fit and Yaris still felt like better cars than the Fiesta and Mazda2.
2010 Honda Fit LX

That Top Gear video is just about the best EVER test drive they've ever done. It's a testament of just how awful the American Top Gear is.
