Cars, coffe & Karts July 2011

I don't know if it was the 30% threat of scattered storms that scared people off but this usually fantastic event was a little thin this month.
Any way here's a run on what was here. A HUGE krautburner turn out this time.

I still liked this engine more with red accents. Jay Vans car

I wanted to get a picture of this guy checking out Jay's car like it was a naked Pam Anderson, but he walked away too fast.

A factory tuned Jetta TDi Cup Car Edition. Very sweet. Basically a turbo diesel Jetta with the GLI's performance and appearance package.

And lastly.....
Honesty in decals, who'd a thunk it?

I even went an hour late just make sure there was a good turnout, and stayed about an hour and a half the place was a ghost town compared to the last 2 meets. Here's hoping the August meet is better.

Roof racks were bad enough, but pointlessly carrying bikes

This was at 9:45 am, this guy and another guy with a Bimmer were heading to the park after this to do some riding, I over heard them talking about it to some guys while snapping pics.

Yeah i put it on there because automatically the second I put my Stance coil overs and rims on my car every kid in the world will think they have to street race me. This is just a way to mock them since my car is slow and will be modded for looks instead of speed. I already had one kid at a a car meet snicker and made the snarky remark
"you do realize Neuspeed doesn't make parts for Cobalts, right?"
I said "yeah, i know. I guess it's a good thing the sticker doesn't say "SPELLING" ."
He and his friend looked at it again realizing it says NOeSPEED, and busted out laughing. They loved it.

I had a few people ask where I got it from, it's an equally funny decal if you DO have a fast car.

I agree with Brad, the black S14 is tits and the wire loom on the Jetta are tacky as hell. And Jay's Cav looks great in that spread of cars.

Very nice cars!

That silver Cavalier is simply beautiful. A great example how to do your J-Body.

I'm not specifically talking about anyone in particular, it's a general statement, I'm seeing more and more bikes mounted to roofs at cruise nights, car shows, meets, ect

The rims on the LSJ SS look like butt without a drop. The Z24 is nice and clean and typical to most Js on here.

If we are going to pick a car you'd take, Ide take the 300, Supra, and hatch STI.

It is on here , hell most cars try to be like it.

Local dealer had one of the TDI cup cars, loved it, but when I saw 29k for it I laughed. Didn't like it that much.

I saw you and was going to say hi, but by then I'd been there an hour or more and was really bummed at the lame turnout and my dog was getting antsy so I was ready to leave. Next time fo-sho.
