It's an aftermarket part available for them that holds those fog lights you see inside it. That's why, it holds lights.

I dont understand why people leave the plastics that says corvette on them after they do the LS swap. I think we get the motor didn't come with the car. sigh!

Because the corvette covers are the only decent looking covers for the ls motors imho. I met the guy with LS Quest at dream cruise, My buddy Dave has a black quest that used to be on bags with white tribal script down the side and he introduced me to the LS quest. Iirc the LS1 is stock for now but that quest is clean when you get to see it up close.
