goodbye cavalier

So I was gettin sick of all the little problems with the cavalier and the rust was gettin out of control. I wanted something with more options and i found this 2001 Bravada it has every option available for that year. Including Onstar, sunroof, bose 6 speaker stereo, 6 disc cd changer, dual heated memory seats, auto climate control, and it only has 90,000 miles. So far i love it, I feel like a million bucks in it compared to the cavalier lol. The only complaint i have is a gas mileage it only gets about 17 mpg and i drive 85 miles round trip for work but i'll be lookin into some sort of work car when i get my tax return to keep the miles down on the bravada and save some money on gas. Well onto the pics i haven't taken any interior pics yet though.

Nice buy! Seems very clean too!!

As for fuel mileage just buy little econo car like a Tercel or or pre-1995 Sentra , they hold up very well, fuel efficient better than newer econo cars and cheap maintenance.

Nice pickup!

Mine has been fine for a few years now. Should serve you fine so long as you keep up on maintenance.

The steps are coming off. It's now got larger fogs, HID's and a crank, but I want to lift it a little with some bigger tires on the stock wheels. And some bike trays for the rack.

Camping vehicle ftw.

thanks yours is lookin good too i got hid's too thats the only thing ive done to it so far. i wanna do a complete tune up plugs, wires distributor cap, rotor, fuel and air filter, tranny flush. I think its gonna need brake pads too the pedals a bit spongy. the only things i have planned for it is a double din screen, tint the front windows 35% and maybe more agressive tires and possibly a system eventually

Glad you got something less troubling so far.If you do the brake pads,I would suggest new rotors(over maching) the old ones. The cost today on new rotors is not to out of line compared to getting the old ones turned if they can be.Looks solid hope you enjoy it.

i wouldn't go right to saying its not going to be a money pit. i have 3 blazer and will never own another one ever again, first being a 99 LS. 4x4 stopped working and heater core blew. sold that one got a 2000 LT2 heater core blew on that one power steering shaft leaked and it bounced all over the road. my 3rd one another 2000 blazer this one was the biggest pos out of the 3. tranny died at 129k heater core again on this one all new shocked still didnt fix the @!#$ty ride was about to replace the leaf springs when it was hit from the back and totaled. best thing that happen to it. the car that has outlived all these blazers and is still going today is a 1998 cavalier rs with 170k on it only thing we have replaced on it was a water pump and a egr valve. I hope you have better luck then i did with the ones i had.

My friend's mom has a 2001 Blazer, and he just spent the last month fixing all the issues with it. Just another GM that made him hate GM even more than he already does lol..

You should see about 25 on the highway, providing everything is in good order. They are nice vehicles. I guess what a lot of people don't understand is that all vehicles will have their problems...especially USED ones. Just keep up on the maintainence and take care of it...lol

I'm guessing you didn't get to test out the 4WD with that amount of snow

You'll love it! Our first 4WD was a Isuzu Rodeo and it was a beast in snow and we have had a 4WD ever since then.

Nice find with the Bravada....looks like it's in good condition!
