Rims for the Talon

These rims will be on order in just a few days when my check comes in. I will be getting them in 17" rims. I have 205/55/16's now. I would like to go 205/45/17. People are telling me maybe even go 18's, but I dont want to lose performance on the car. Specially for Autocross (I cant afford 2 sets of rims right now). I think it will go great with the look of the car.

Here's the rims.

I will also be ordering Coilovers and slotted/cross drilled rotors. (No big brake kit yet i'm too poor)

EDIT: Oh yea to finish off the look of the car I will be going with a CF hood and a drift body kit. I'm taking the rear deck wing off and leaving it plain. I'm also going to shave and fill in the side molding. After that its all performance mods. I'm picking up a car in a few months when I say up another 600 thats an eclipse GST that had been wrecked. Full turbo and motor in perfect running shape though.

That was the same exact thread I was thinking about when I read this. They are going to look small on the car but they will flow better with yours than his I think.

Have a good one,
Justin

they r nice rims but if ur going to Autocross u dont want 17s or a body kit, just stick with the 16s u have and put some sticky ass tires on em and keep doing more performance.

I'm going to put some tires on my 16's for autocross. As far as the kit that will be probably last to do, but I really like the kit a lot.

Please take a look a Smith Wheels befor you deside. They make some really georgeous stuff.

As a fellow DSM owner I should point out that unless you are in the 7s you should remove your claim of being the world's fastest talon. The current fastest Talon runs a 7.8 in the outlaw class. The next fastest (non-outlaw) runs an 8.7 and is street driven.

You need to be very fast to make that claim.

Good luck, I hope you love the car.
