analog wideband output to the computer?

hey guys, i swapped the location of my wideband and my narrow band today, the narrow band now sits about 15 inches away from the turbo on my cav. problem i started seeing today is the car started running really rich. twice today i was out driving around and it would hold about 14.5 just cruising and then suddenly it got to between 10.5 and 9.8 whie just driving and started running really rough. only did it twice and it went away after i let the car cool down for a bit. heres what i figure happened, i put my wideband into my second bung, which is about 25 inches away form the turbo and my narrow band into the closer one wihch is about 15 or so. so im thinking the narrowband might be getting alittle too hot and causing the car to dump massive amounts of fuel.

heres my question, im using the innovative unit withthe lc1 and it has 2 analog outputs. it says you can use the first one to simulate a narrow band signal and plug it into the computer. the manual says that anaolg one sends ou a signal of 1.1 v =14 afr and .1v = 15 afr. can i use this signal succesfully in place of my narrow band sensor?

I've never gotten one to work like that personally, but SpeedRacerZ has, so yeah, its possible.

Its possible, Ive heard people say it doesn't work as well as the stock sensor though and you may have issues with it.

yea ive tried narrowband simulation off the wideband with my cav and the cobalt

Cav gave a slow response code but ran ok just with @!#$ty gas mileage because closed loop wasnt working right and the cobalt started up for 30 sec then fell flat on its face and started dieseling because the AFR just dropped below 10

interesting info. ill jsut leave it the way it is, chris gill is retuning the car this week withthe working wideband so he'll fatten up the afr and hopefully its enough to keep the sensor a little cooler.

thanks for the responses guys
