Im just wondering if any of you guys may have an idea about what my wide band is doing..
When i took it out of the cobalt it was working fine, and we then transfered it into the cavalier now it decided not to work. we used quick disconnect wires so we could semi-easily switch it between cars. i reconnected all the wires and now its not readying anything. I dont know if any of you have heard of/or made a box for it, with a switch and led, etc. thats what we did. Its basically where everything comes together and organizes it. The led we put in the box is telling us that the wideband is working properly. It blinks when its warming up and when the wideband is ready the led stays on... but the program on the lap top is telling us that its reading 15 flat. And I cant figure out what the problem is. We re-checked all the wires and it seems to be working right, and the box is telling us it is as well. It seems like it could be a connection between the box and the laptop? im not sure...has ANYONE had this problem? its the inovate motorsports wb. Im wondering if the o2 sensor got messed up somehow... or something... its just weird since it was just working in the cobalt.
i forgot to add that its reading this when the car is off/on... doesn't matter....
Do a free-air calibration. If that doesn't work, then good luck lol

sounds like its not wired up right. if it's reading 15 flat all the time it's signal is apparently bad. So signal wire or 02 sensor

jess, do you still have the wideband programmed for a voltage offset?
connect the laptop to the wideband and make sure the controller is programmed right
we got it to read, we programmed it, and we had it exactly where we wanted... started it up and it stayed the same. i think the sensor might be messed up? because its not alternating more than .01
listening.....having same issue
we already ordered a new sensor. i think the sensor got fried or something..
I have another sensor at my house maybe when I go home from school tonight I will swap it out and see what happens.
good luck with yours. i hope the new sensor fixes it. we checked over everything from the wiring to the program/offest/ etc... nothing fixed it so it has to be the sensor. right now im tuning based up on what my stock sensors think and avoiding knock. seems to be running good i just need to get it more than an estimate.
yea im been doing the same basically dont have any knock will see small 1 degrees of knock and then let off before it climbs but Thats when I get on it at low rpms up top no knock so i just have been being easy on her until I can get the wb going right and get some more tuning down
yea it sucks without the wideband. what i did was copy where i have knock (in both PE and normal) and paste into the timing tables and reducing timing by 2 in those spots i was getting knock and it cured all of it. Atleast so far. Im still running pretty rich, especially at start ups. i get a lot of smoke. it sucks that we dont have 2 tables for closed & open loop idling. because its only cold startups where im really rich.
