Hey guys I already have a emanage for my boosted eco and I haven't installed it yet. Will it work or should I go with something else?
yeah it all works the same you just need to get a wiring diagram and just install it as if you were on an import.. look around someone will have a diagram...
r.i.p rotary
Ok I have the diagram I just heard it had some bugs in it. Does anyone actually have this installed on a ecotec?
The E-manage will work but with boost, there really isn't many people running the E-manage as it's only fuel management for the ECOTEC. Most are running either a Cartech FMU or Megasquirt (or atleast it seems that way).
The hard part is the computer and how it reacts to boost. There have been a good amount of discussion of having issues and having solutions for these problems. If you're an ECOTEC owner, you should defenitley read this thread:

how about a megasquirt 2 would that be a better choice?

In my opinion, yes. If you read that thread I previously posted, you will see what people used and what issues they had occur before they found their solution. I personally know someone who has an 04 Cavalier and when turbo'd, his computer was constantly fighting with the e-manage and could barely put enough fuel out to comphensate for the extra air (even with big 440 CC injectors). The megasquirt was his solution and hasn't looked back.

so is the megasquirt a total standalone or is it just a piggy back too?

Put it in the classifieds...it'll sell easier there.
