OK, so since Mr. LD9 would never make this......caugh...caugh.....I've done it myself. -Just something to do between machining neon rear kits, theres more nifty things being done aswell.
EDIS 36-1 Crank trigger wheel and a aluminum "egay special" crank pulley.
I machined the face of the pulley down to the ID ofthe trigger wheel to aid as a centering jig to punch, drill, and tap the four holes.
Waiting for four 5/16-18 bolts and a J with an aftermarket ECU, can anyone say "finally decent timing control on a J - Hooray!"
Whatcha guys think? Liky?
EDIT: this will be awesome when shifted gets his ECU finished aswell......hmmmmmmmm

the LD9 crank is a 6-1 trigger wheel, the MS now supports it natively but you still end up with 60degrees worth of crank travel based on nothing but the last several trigger time intervals to interpolate where the spark should be. with this 36x I'll only have 10degrees of guessing and have more teeth to time so the (MS in this case) will have a better idea if im in accell or decell as well.

^Yup, waiting long enough....lol....it was posted 4 days after the otherwise last post in the thread......so it was kinda dead already.
By the way, that egay pulley is terribly off balance and NOT square......I was soooo pissed trying to get it square in my lathe until I measured back to front distance in opposite four positions and found a 0.030" run out...OMG! Not to mention to diameter not being true circular....I had to fix alot, including the rub grooves. I'll never run another pulley straight from ebay right onto the car, ever. Getting it done right costs money, I wish I could have used your pulley as a start for this project...sigh.
question .. dont know to much about pulleys .. so this is to replace that crap pulley from ebay ?
No, this IS the crap pulley from ebay...this IS NOT one from Mr. LD9.....man I wish it was.
This is actaully a crappy one from ebay that I had to do hours of machine work to get the way it should be......seriously they are crap and waaaaayyy out of round.
EDIT: (it was really bad.....)

I really hope you tell people how bad the ebay pulley is since....NO one that has one believes me.
they all tell me I'm being bias, and the quality of the ebay pulleys are fine.
~~I just shake my head~~
The ebay pulley I looked at a few years ago was .057" out of round, and the snout of the pulley wasn't even concentric with the pulley grooves. It orbited in the lathe.

Seriously man....It was BAD. Nothing was straight, square, round....NOTHING. Had to fix everything and took FOREVER! At one point I threatened to make my own pulley too. Seriously bad, will never buy one and throw it straight on a car EVER!
At this point I still have to take the bastard to a machine shop that can do live balancing and verify it is in balance and do any adjustments needed which I'm sure need to be done.
If you trued all the dimensions up...you probably do not need to get it balanced.

i have an ebay pulley sitting around somewhere...
i guess i will toss it in with my dad's load of aluminum for the scrap yard now

It will once I throw bolts on there for the EDIS trigger wheel.....I dont trust it will be in 100% balance.
