why does innovate suck
Thursday, July 31, 2008 7:17 PM
tried getting my wideband up and running tonight, that didnt happen. spent all those hours for nothing. i have the innovate XD-16 with the LC-1. when i turned the power on, all i got was 3 dashes, never got the E2 code like i was supposed to. read on their forums, it appears a lot of people have that problem.. i was wondering if anyone else had that problem and how was it fixed?

if that wasnt enough, now my heat exchanger pump doesnt turn on anymore.. not sure wtf is up with that... try and hook up a wideband and my pump doesnt turn on anymore...

I have a Lc-1 and have had no problems with it. I use it with HPT

i check the serial connections and wiring, it was all good. some how now my heat exchanger pump wont come on.. i have to tear that thing apart tomorrow and see wtf is wrong..

but yea, the serial connections are as tight as i can jam them in there, and power wires were soldered to mini fuse taps and the grounds were grounded to the same point..

Ground the Gauge by itself. It may sound stupid, but I've had a situation occur before where I grounded certain things together and it was a no go. Caused them to malfunction.

You might want to try using a different ground for your H.E. pump. I think you have it grounded to the battery tray..... I wouldnt trust that as a ground. Try grounding it to the engine block instead.

The LC-1. I have the same XD-16 I got from Karo & I haven't installed mine yet, but if would ground both of them separately on their own.

called their tech line, im going to RMA it. the sensor was heating up when it was plugged in, so the LC-1 was fine but there still seemed to be a communication error between the gauge and lc-1. everything was plugged in tight, so filipe told me to RMA it. so thats what im going to do..

Innovative seems like too much trouble all that calibrating and @!#$, I just like to plug it in and have it work

My LM-1 has worked fantastic from day 1. I've had nothing but problems trying to install LC-1's tho.
