hey sup guys im having a hard time finding a way to get this emanage to be located in the car like greddy wants the wires just arent long enough, everything is mounted in the engine bay right now where the battery used to be but i dont think thats the greatest spot unless i make some kinda box for it
anyways i know some of you guys got it in your glove box but how the hell did you get it there i dont think extending the wires is a very good idea...
let me know what you think
thanks
i have mine just sitting on my passenger floor, just no more wire.
rich has his mounted so that its hanging below the part of the dash where the radio and HVAC controls are... don't seem to recall him saying anything about having to lengthen wires.

It's not that far from the glovebox, through the firewall, to the PCM in front of the passenger front wheel. Mine is in the passenger kickpanel area with wire to spare.

Careful drilling is your friend. How else would you get wires from one side of the firewall to the other?

Point being? There are probably a few unused grommets back there somewhere that you could use anyway.

Carpet schmarpet . . . use a plasma cutter.
...one of the org's original autocrossers.
Yes mine is mounted in the center under the HVAC controls and no I didn't have to extend any wires, but I also relocated my ECU to sit above the break booster awqay from the heat of the turbo to, so that gave me alot of slack. I came in through the big factory gromet on the drivers side.

Mine will be in el glove box, where Jamie S. has his too!
Exterminator, how did you relocate the ECU and how did you secure it
I didn't get mine yet, but I'm planning on using that 1/2 DIN spot under the stereo...
nice n hidden with a flip down plate when I need to hook up to the laptop
or I might try that proec controller thing... that looks pretty sweet

just unbolt it, remove any zipties holding the harness to give you some slack, and ziptie it over by the brake booster or wherever your preference is. If you want to get real fancy i'm sure you could drill holes to bolt it up somewhere as well.

I put mine in place were the passenger side air bag was. I used velcro to secure it to the top of the glove box. Works well.
did you attach your wires at your computer, or in the engine bay?
