It's a 2.5 bar sensor that reads both manifold pressure and intake temperature.
Is there a 2 bar out there that would read the intake temperature as well that would fit into its spot on the manifold to allow for some greater resolution?

maybe split the wire harness and run a seperate map and temp sensor. theres a good chance its a standard gm iat housed in the map, the same one they've been using since the 80's. otherwise i dont think you will ever find something to downgrade a factory application, although i think i know what youre getting at with more resolution
