so i am looking into tuning software for the 95 2.2 and decided that i need a better tuning system for the car before firing her up, and have a few questions

1. i can use rt tuner with the ostrich for on the fly tuning, and the romulator as well as a definition file for the ecu

2. what else do i need to tune it? a chip and socket right?

3. does any one have a ecu definition file for a 95 2.2 ln2?

4. is there any tuning that i can do to this ecu without cracking the ecu case?

5. my car has no eprom right?

just looking to get into this to get a more accurate tune on the car and don't know much so trying to look to your experiances of tuning this set up

The 95 has an eprom and memcal. I believe the Moates emulator will work with that ecm but you have to remember that the ecm is outside the car. Look for a thread titled something like "OBDI Tuning Project" by Chris Smyth for lots more info including answers to your other questions.

Do you have a 3spd or 4spd auto. 3spd = OBD1 and a "burnable" memcal. 4spd = OBD2ish and not tuneable.
