Rebuilt EcoTec with turbo, need new ECU...Help?
Monday, December 08, 2008 2:55 AM
I recently got my engine rebuilt for my 2003 Cavalier so the engine can handle 400+ hp from the turbo that was installed. I got it on a dyno and it was tuned to 226hp @ 5 lbs of boost. This turbo is capable of 600+ I need performance fuel injectors, and something to replace the ECU that I got now. I also need a new clutch that can handle the hp. Other than that I think I should be good. All this electronic @!#$ is a pain in the ass.

You should not need a new computer. Get the components you said you needed, and get it tuned again, or get HP Tuners. If there was a need for a new computer, your car shouldn't run.

Good luck tuning out 600hp on a stock ECU. Look into one of Hahn's port fuelers.
