when the upstream o2 sensor is plugged in the car runs ok when cold and horrible when hot. bucking and surging also a major loss in power. when i up plug the sensor the car runs ok but burns a lot of fuel.
i have allready replaced the sensor.
any ideas?
take it to a shop. sounds like you dont know what your doing. (((((im not being an a hole)))))) i think
already have...3 shops...each has no idea whats wrong...even the dealer....you could call one or 3 dumb but i dont think that all three...we have changed coil packs, icm o2 sensors wires...etc also comp. is 148-150 hot or cold
btw i wrote this simple and short becasue it would let who ever reads it think about all that could be wrong because if i told you everything i have done its kinda like leading you into an answer....

I could think of a bunch of things... Sounds like you have a bunch of fu(king idiots looking at your car.... Do any of them know how to use a scanner and or meter, or are the only good at throwing parts?

sounds like when you unplug that sensor it runs rich and better then what it does when it pluged in. and when you plug it in it starts adjusting for 14.7. If one your injecs is cloged or messed up , it isn't getting enough gas in that cyclinder and the 02 reads lean and gives it more so the other injectors fire a little more to get to 14.7 which is wrong right there. . I just read that and it really did make sence haha... Just try your fuel injectors. Something fuel related i think.
When you disconnect the O2 sensor it forces the car into open loop so it runs off the tuned files (or factory preset files). It does not 100% mean it is the O2 sensor causing the problems, but could be.
FU Tuning
correct...
that would mean somthing that the o2 sensor talks to might be...what could that be?
log/file of what? o2 readings?
