I would do this

1) Install a wide band.
Have it ready with a laptop running the software.
An Lc-1 is a cheap and relatively nice.
I would recommend it with a XD-16 type gauge as it has a built in programming button,
and would be much easier to program/wire than a standard Lc-1.

You can also run this in 1 bung if you have to.
The lc-1 has dual outputs, 1 wide band 1-5 v and 1 Programmable Narrow band(default) OR wide band
You will need access to Haynes or Chilton's on line databases (Most collages or universitys have subscriptions to them)
Or get a book to properly wire to "re-wire"

OR just get a second Bung welded in......

2) Find a local tuner shop that has hp tuners.
Bring your car to them.

Maybe they will teach you some.

This should suffice for N/A tuning.

Can I not just connect to it a laptop with HPT? What if I don't have a laptop to use logworks for example or my tuner doesn't. He has a laptop with HPT, that's all I know. So if I go with a wideband how does he use it properly with his laptop for instance?

If he has the HP tuners pro version then he simply plugs an output wire from the wideband controller to the interface cable. Then would use hp tuner software to display and record your air fuel ratios.

Save your money. It might be worth something someday.

I see thanks! I'll have to make sure he has the pro first. Otherwise I'll have to laptop and program it prior which means might need to get an LM2?? Basically, NO PRO version, then what do I do with my LC-1?

Actually you can log in the basic version too. Word is you can unplug your AC pressure sensor connector and wire your wideband there and log AC pressure. Never tried it but I've read that somewhere.

Do you know how to connect the LC-1? How does controlling AC pressure help. But more importantly, I want to get the most efficient wide band for tuning. AEM UEGO for example. Is that easier to connect to a laptop with HPT. Has a gauge

Take off your downpipe...
Have a bung welded in above 3 and 9 oclock (So ok positions are 9,10,11,12,1,2,3). 12 oclock obviously meaning pointing directly dowanward. (hold a pen downward, immagine the tip of the pen is the sensor head)... ok hope that helps?

Install the sensor with a wideband tool (get it at local murrays or autozone)
Then wire it according to the schematics.
The only thing you might be tripped up on is finding your power source?
Should be reallly easy though.

The XD Gauges are really nice if your not used to wiring.
They save you the pain and confusion of wiring the led diode with the programming button.
They have it prewired into the gauge (button on the gauge itself)

I would check out

http://www.diyautotune.com/catalog/innovate-standalone-gauge-kit-lc1-xd16-p-121.html

and maybe google video how to install a wideband
or whatever

Like the other dude said.
It has a serial port so you can log it with an independent program. (so you could have the innovate lc1 log program and hpt running the at the same time.)
Or i believe that the pro version of HPT allows you to log your wideband in HPT itself. Making it much easier to "read"/"tune"

You summed it all up my man! Thanks! Now I know what to do. I need a WIDEBAND damn. More $$ lol. Looking forward to wideband, LE5 mani in combo with my setup to get even more top end. I hope he has pro unless he's a "PRO" and knows what to without the added addition to HPT. I want the most power for sure. Thanks again
