Wondering if anyone knows of a boost controller that is compatible with HP tuners. I have looked around but can't seem to get a definative answer.

Why would you need such a thing?

So I can control boost by gear. I'm not 100% sure what I'm gonna do here but I have a friend doing a turbo civic and he went this route. I think he went with a ectune boost controller, the guy that tuned my car (and will be tuning my friends car as well) suggested this. As my car is pretty much strictly a 1/4 mile car I think it may be of benefit for me to be able to run lower boost in 1st and 2nd gear. I'll have to wait and see what happens, I may just decide to put a spring in the wastegate and hope it allows me to reach my goal.

You meana boost controller you can control through HPT? Not going to happen. At least that I know of. I do not think HPT can do that.

Ok, thats what I was wondering. I know the eCtune for my buddy's civic can adjust boost levels using the tuning software. Guess I'll just have to play around with my launches till I figure out what works best.

You may be able to find a boost controler that can do that on it's own - outside of HPtuners. But HPT does NOT have that capability on our cars.

Yeah, I may have to opt for something that I can adjust on the fly...that way I can lower boost when I am driving home (its about a 500km trip each way and I do it about once a month or more) and get a little better milage.

why not just go the greddy profec b spec II route with the high/low boost settings? when in first/second keep it on the low boost setting, then when in third hit the high boost setting for the rest of the run?

*edit* You can get the steering wheel mounted button to switch back and forth between settings!

I may have to look into that. Even with that I can have a setting for daily driving and racing. The AEM one seems a little complicated to use by the looks of things. Just may get a 16psi spring and call it a day and have to play around with my launches.
