OK im trying to get this whole process mapped out, as far as building my motor for more boost and one very important step is the tune, i want to make sure this is done right this time around so who are u guys using to tune your turbo charged quads, im looking to make close to 350-400whp after it is all said and done, i live in philadelphia pa. but i can trailer the car to a place is it isnt extremely far, thanks any advice is appreciated
here are some specs on the turbo im using, its a turbonetics t3/t4 60 trim
COMPRESSOR HOUSING - .60 A/R , 3'' INLET , 2'' OUTLET
COMPRESSOR WHEEL - 60MM
CARTRIDGE - OIL COOLED, JOURNAL BEARING
EXHAUST HOUSING - T3, .63 A/R,5 BOLTS
EXHAUST WHEEL - STAGE 3
THIS TURBO WAS BALANCE WITH V.S.R MACHINE
THIS TURBO CAN GENERATE 350-550 HP
And to give u an idea of what the build will consist of,
1995 cavalier z24 2.3
93 scx block
086 head
h.o cams
h.o intake manifold
eagle rods
je pistons
750cc injectors
2 1/2 in intercooler piping
12in X 30in X 3in hybrid intercooler
custom turbo manifold, from milwaukee motorsports
hks blowoff valve
custom 3in exhaust, no resonator, no cat
38mm wastegate with open dump tube, might need a bigger wg
oil catch can......it was red and shiny lol
and a few other things but thats the basics, the reasons for me adding all thats was to get some feed back from u guys to see if u guys can suggest parts that u have had any success with to make this build better
if it can't win a race it better win a show
If you have a 95 nobody with HP tuners is going to be able to help you, your going to need someone that can burn custom prom chips, mantapart used to do that back in the day but they were an extremely shady outfit.

If im not mistaken and remeber correctly he purchased a moats ostrich II which hooks to the eprom socket and you can use tunercat to tune like HPtuners. Also I think it has the real time tuning option.
To the OP gald you are going with the older block....Seems like you are heading in a very good direction with all this.
Yes you should be able to use tunercat to tune the car but you would also need an eprom emulator and spare chips. I used to do this wayyy back in the day with my 3rd gen Camaro and I used tunercat on that car as well. There are alot of things you can change but it is by far no equivalent to the parameters accessible via HPTuners from what I have seen.
