Ok so going to swap to the 97 pcm. I have compared all of the sensors from 96 to 97 and the only one different is the crank which is keeping me from just swapping the computer which as far as work shows is the same computer just different flash. My question to you guys is this, since the crank sensors are different, is the location still the same but the readout different? Will the newer sensors simply slip into place? Also if anyone has a 97 harness they want to get rid of PM me. Thanks in advance guys.

The crank sensor will wire directly to the ICM. Which on the 2.2 cars is different between 96 and 97. It will most likely have to be changed as well.
