Anybody on here ever tuned a 2200? I have a 99 with the 3 speed, only thing done so far is a weapon R intake. I'm really after fuel mileage but extra power won't hurt my feelings. And should I consider doing the exhaust before getting it tuned?
Yes, do the exhaust first.
Has anybody tuned with out a wideband? Or is it possible?
Anything is possible, but without a wideband it will be one rough tune. Good luck fine tuning it.
Well this is probably a dumb question. But will a wide band take the place of the stock o2 sensor in the manifold? And if so, will the computer read the wideband like the stock one?

I have tuned my 99 2200 5speed. I gained 20hp right around 4700 rpms torque didnt change at all. I had intake header exhaust high flow cat i think thats al the performance mods i had at the time. I changed my afr so i could run93 octane pump gas. Yes you can tune without a wideband you just cant dont get to know what your afr is. Josh thats not a dumb question its a very good question that not everyone knows yes it can take place of your stock o2 but only if your stock o2 is in use if you are still using your stockk o2 it is best just to put in another bung and go from there.
So the ecm would not read the afr better with a wideband? Like if I was to plug it into the wire for the stock o2?
from ive been told the puter needs to read the stock 02 sensor. if you plan on getting a wideband 02 and gauge, you need a separate bung for the wideband

This isn't always true. Some wide bands simulate a 0-1V narrowband signal that can be feed to the stock computer. My plx wide band is like that. Makes install a lot easier. To the OP, the ecu does not know how to understand he 0-5V signal from a wide band, so you can not directly connect it to the stock computer. I have the plx sm-afr which does simulate a signal the stock computer understands.
Also, with just an intake, you do not need a tune. It will not give you any more power.
