i have a 2002 sunfire 2200 i swapped out for a 2005 sunfire 2.2l ecotec and i have a custom turbo on this and its tuned.
My question is the 2005 sunfire has a 1 bar computer and sensor. what would i need to make this a 2 bar system and what vehicle could i get the parts out of to get this done.
Im thinking i have to change the harness and computer out of a different vehicle not sure which one would be the best with little modifications. Any help is appreciated.
how much boost are you running? Also I would guess that you are tuning with Hp Tuners currently?
Flash to 2002 ld9, then flash 2002 ld9 supercharger tune. You have to do write entire for both processes.

Is this something that can be done with hp tuners or gm reflash
Yes, this can be done via HPT to the '02 2200 ECU. Wont work with the Eco ECU.

Ok good thing I still have that pcm. So I flash that ecm to the 2.4 engine then 2.4s/c flash abd it will work on the ecotec? And do I change to 2 bar map after that?
The 2002 2200 pcm is a p11 - it can be flashed with the LD9 OS? I thought the "L4 big" pcms were the only ones to take that OS. Has someone actually flashed that pcm or is this speculation?
I know 00 and 01s can. Being LN2s....run the LD9 flash. I haven't seen anyone do a 02 LN2 PCM yet.

If I got the numbers off the pcm will that help?

Good catch. I wasn't even thinking about 2002 being the transition year with the motors. The LD9 is its own PCM that year with both the LN2 and L61 being on the same ECU. So to correct myself, you would need the 2.4 ECU and harness, then refer back to
this thread.

Ya it's the p11 could you post the pcm model number make sure I get the right one
Skunk says it will work with a 2002 p11 pcm only

I'd love to see screen shots of the calibration details open next to the ve tables. How is flashing an L4 big OS to a p11 any different than flashing a p12 OS to a p11? I'm not trying to be a dick, but how would hptuners even allow the flash? The controllers are different...
Im just saying what skunk said..
He says its due to the fact there was a ld9 in the 2002 along with the eco and 2200. He says they use all the same pcm that year only.
He said he did it in his white car.
I asked him to post details but havent posted much other than whats on eco forums

Ok then that is the pcm I have abd the harness from the 2005 has same wiring and plugs

GMSI clearly shows the LN2 and L61 on the same ECU with the LD9 being on its own ECU. If this did work however, that would be some very good information to have out there.

well this is the pcm i have sitting around is the p11 2002 2200 pcm. think we should give this a whirl?
Sure, the worse that could happen is that it doesn't write and you lose a credit
Snowman wrote:Sure, the worse that could happen is that it doesn't write and you lose a credit
Ok guess I'll try it. It is also a direct plug in to the 2005 eco harness without mod
Ok so I looked into the repository tunes for the 02 2.4l and the pcm details for all them including the stock supercharger tune they are all l4 big pcms I'm thinking this isn't going to work. Looks like we're all stick going l4 big and wiring it in.
Also I'm wondering my friend has a 98 cavalier gt 2.4 with the l4 big in it will this one work?
