i havent been keeping up on what is going on there. i know they said that 97+ will be covered but what about 96? i know there isnt a difference in the ohv because my motor is a 97 in my 96, an i do have 2 pcm's here but i dont know if there is a difference for the 97 up kind? is there or will the software once complete be able to support the 96?

Did he ever mention a time frame for the product to come out. Safe to say not at the end of this year, but what about next year?

as long as its cheaper the the jbodyperformance option.

is this going to be a reflash where we send our stock ecu in? or does th work like a hypertec?

[quote=97cavie24ls(JDM cav sedan™)]it is a computer reprogramer system , youll need to have a lap top or computer , and with there stuff , you can reflash your computer , and be able to get more power from your car

also very helpfull with a turbo or s/c

^that's what i was told in the other thread about this, i dunno if that helps any

my cav wouldnt stay running with a same year pcm from a s/f it wouldnt see the auto trans

but im not entirely sure what was wrong

the older 95obd2-96 computers use a different coding , and im not sure if the 95's were a chip or not for the obd2 , i know the obd 195 were chiped

this is a system you load into your computer , then you use it to change the prgram your pcm

No dif between Pontiac and Chevy computers as far as I know.
Can us poor unfortunate 96 owners use 97 computers? Or are the pins different?

So, different connectors. What about the wires? any differences? I'm rewiring most of the car anyway, so I could always fit this in. Would it read any different for emissions?

they really need to figure out how to do a conversion for us 95 OBDII and 96 people. i mean if they can make OBDII to OBDI conversion harnesses, and someone can crack GM's ECU's to tune them... then it can be done.
