Hey every one I'm
In the process of looking for a tuning devise for my needs,
Hptuners is not a option anymore,
It's to limited to my set up and I want more boost,
Does any one have wired a universal aem or haltech or any stand alon that could shine some lite my way on diagrams of the stock harness and stuff.
i wired a Haltech in as a standalone it all depends on what you want the standalone to run your biggest problem you are going to run into is finding a standalone that can interpret the 6+1 trigger on your crank assuming you have an ecotec. Also if you want any help on here you might want to stop being lazy and fill out your profile

No need.
I have a bunch of crank signal converters that splice directly into the Ecotec Sensor. Tested on an oscilliscope. Perfect. Tested on an SDS system. Perfect.
No need for magnets, no need for additional trigger wheels and fabrication.

I need a trigger wheel for a 04 cavalier to by pass the 07 colbalt trigger
I would like to buy a 6+1 trigger wheel for the 04 cavalier 2.2 ecotec
I am looking to buy a Haltech standalone system. Until I read this post, I thought I just need to get it and tune. This whole crank trigger wheel has got me confused. Can I wire my standalone in without any issues on my L61 ecotec?

You need a newer style trigger wheel last I knew.

This is from Tinkles to me on another post.
"If you run a standalone ECU then you will not need a trigger wheel. The trigger wheel is just to run other engines on the stock ECU. Any decent standalone will allow you to program in the engine's stock "trigger wheel".
