I got an ANFU (90 Gtz) like the auction, I have one from the Rocket Parts catalogue(no it's not for sale
) and one from Paul Hacker's SCX. It's a 93.
I've tried 2 of them. I haven't tried the rocket Parts Ecm yet. I tested the one I bought form Paul Hacker and damn, I've never hit the rev limiter. Kinda scary when the gauge goes up to 7600rpm and doesn't stop.
Btw, for those who don't know Paul Hacker, he's one of the guy that win with the Scx in 91-92-93 in the Firehawk series. The guy who know the W41 engine like nobody else.

Brian, that olds 442 that i found in that eagle junkyard, the one that i got your head and intake off of. i think that may have still had the ECM in it.

ECM = Engine Control Module
PCM = Powertrain Control Module
...big deal! its just a name...not like there is any difference..its all a computer,or does calling it a computer wrong too??
i think most people on here need to learn to pronounce ecotec properly before they try to tell the differnce between an ecu and an ecm!

I haven't test it yet. The chip says 91 Lgo on it but the setting may be different. I'll have to go to a dyno to see if it does a difference in power(probably not). I don't know what the rev limiter is set at on the chip. I ask some info about the Ecm to Mantapart and Tim just plain s..k to answer. He gave some weird answer and said that they have better chips.
Anyway, at the price I got it, I will never be able to resell it for the same amount. As long as it works.
I gotta get to a dyno and check witch of my Ecm goes better.

if they are all dohc.. and you refer to all of them as dohc..then you would be correct..so you kinda just proved my point
But the person that knows the motors will refur to them as sutch, not as some other brands name.
so, if you want to look like a nube... computer is good.
( just a pet peev i have... i highly dis like hondas, eaven though my DSM's computer is refured to as a ECU )

oh i totally recognize the differnce..it just kinda reminds me of the macintosh vs. windows thing ya know...i realize theres a BIG differnce between a "PC" and a Imac but its still just a computer...hence why people still refer to mac's as a "pc" ...just a pet peev of my own i suppose.
