if there is ANYONE with a HPtuners file for there stock tune, can i PLEASE have it!?
i haven't installed HPtuners on my car yet, and somehow my ecu is fried. i tried getting a replacement but the one i got from napa was just blank. and instead of taking it to GM and having them flash it, i thought i could just use my HPtuners software to flash the blank ecu that i have. any help or input on this would be great, thanks a lot.

wow, that sucks.
looks like i'm gonna have to make a trip to a GM dealership then...
just letting you know, alot of times when you purchase a replacement ecu from somewhere like napa, autozone, etc., you have to remove a memory chip from the original unit and install it onto the new ecu. it is a memory chip that is programmed from GM. i know i changed an ecu in a buick this summer at our garage and i had to switch the memory chip into the new ecu. just a though you might want to check into, good luck.
yes come to think of it, it was a OBD-1 ecu.....that makes sense.....oh well....i still dont see an aftermarket parts supplier selling a ecu that was blank though....it just wouldnt make sense so i dont know..i will stick with my AEM haha
they sell blank ecu's so that GM can profit more by them being the only ones that can program it.
Hey man, I still want to help you guys with that install, so let me know if you need help.
yeah, i will for sure. i didn't know you were on here?
i got all the parts, just not the car
or this tune file for that matter.
Got a .hpt file! I finally registered on the hptuners website and found one in the tune repository.
the car is going to the dealership, i have a wiring problem somewhere and i can't fix it.
WOOT! took the car to the dealership at 1pm today and got it back at 7pm! and they didnt rape me with extra part costs and shiz either.
time to part all my new parts on! look for updates in the Photos&Media forum
