Ok, my friend was installing my wideband on a day he had off at his job, he was following the instructions I guess till the end. He didn't use a bung, and he didn't use the connectors it came with to connect it to the pcm, he took out the stock one and put the new one in its place and ended up just having it connected to the gauge. Well it didn't read right, so we got a bung and redid it but now it still doesn't read right and he did everything instuctions said to do. When we have the 02 sensor it came with and stock one in the gauge just reads "rch" and check engine light is on, but when we unhook wideband check engine light goes off. So basically my question is, it it possible to have burnt up the 02 sensor, it was placed were it was supposed to be.
Also I have one other question, but not about wideband, were also trying to hook up my oil pressure gauge, were exactly does it hook up? Sorry if thats a dumb question hes never installed one before

Where do you have the wideband placed exactly?
Do you have the grounds hooked up right?
As for the oil pressure, you need to install a T, either off of the oil pressure switch port, or off an oil galley plug on the block (depending on the block you have).

In the instructions it said 2 feet behind motor and 2 feet before cat, so its in the header where the other one was. I'm pretty sure the grounds are right, we can double check tomorrow though
We'll look at it some more tomorrow and I'll update you, thanks for your help, my dad just told me to ask if its possible for it to get burnt up? Like could it not be able to be in as high temps as the stock one for some reason?
Ok I tried searching to find exactly were it is but couldn't really find any posts saying...where is the oil pressure switch port on the ecotec?
Also still not sure whats going on with the wideband, everything seems like its hooked up right but it just says "rch" and sits at that, how can you tell if the 02 sensor is burnt out? I was reading and saw in one post someone said on the eco's you can't just replace the 02 sensor because it wont work with pcm or something, so since we did that at first could that be what messed it up?
