Increasing shift points...is HPT the only way?

Is there any other way to adjust the shift points of the 4t40e (i.e. a reflash by GM or ratchet/paddle shifter). I want to run MS-II and I don't want to spend $650 just to increase the shift points. Any helpful insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Yeah, HPT is the only way to move the shift points around. If you don't want to spend the money to buy HPT, you could always send it to me (Shifted Tuning) or Ryan (PnP Tuning).

Buy stuff from CarCustoms Ebay! Won't be disappointed!

I forgot about that...I'll consider it Ron. How much would you charge?

The only problem I would foresee though is IF the HO cams build power through 7200 RPM on a 2.4L then I would be kind of screwed. The secret cams feel like they are building power straight through when it shifts at 6500 when it didn't before the rebuild... but I definitely need to get the car on a dyno first to see

If that were the case, then I wouldn't be able to adjust the shift points at will...I don't know...I will definitely keep you in mind though. Thanks Ron.
