any help would be greatly appreciated....
alright thanks again for your help!!!
then how do i go about tuning my car??? lol
HP Tuners is any J-bodies best best, unless you want to do Stand Alone. Check the FAQ's at the top of the page
i cant use hp tuners though..... cause when they installed the supercharger they reflashed my ecu and locked it so now hp tuners doesnt work on my car
yes, the reflash on the newer cars locks the computer from being written. you could use HP Tuners if you got a computer for your car from a junk yard (like $60) that hasn't been flashed. You can change the vin to yours using HPT, and then tune from there. Most piggy backs are not very good with our Alpha-N fuel curve, so I wouldn't recomend them. This way you will have a reflashed computer as well, if you want to return it to stock, or hawk it on e-bay. You should be able to still read it using HPT, to get a base tune for your new computer.
thats not a bad idea..... i cant believe i never thought of that
any ideas on reflashing a 99 2.4 the mech told me it didnt take said it was for 2000 and up so he took a 2000 vin and programmed mine with it, and said it didnt work ? what can i do to get my safc to work? having big fuel issues! i have a t3/t4 420cc injectors adjustable fuel reg, 255 walburagho fuel pump, and car idles supper rich and under boost supper lean i need tunning help! the computer doesnt allow the safc to adjust.
help me please!
the safc won't work because it changes fuel in a different way then our cars use. you may need to get a 2000 pcm. you really want to get that to work, because your other options are going to be much more complicated. maybe you could go to the dealer and have them return your pcm to stock?
i agree with the above statement, the safc uses map to adjust fuel. our cars use the tps sensor to get the fuel curve. what i would recomend if you want to use the safc piggy back, search the forum under tuning for "confused about my hpt files" there you will find a link to a 97 sunfire (2.4) computer file that uses speed density for the fuel curve (what the safc uses to adjust fuel). if you reflash your computer to that, the safc will work. the only problem is the knock sensor, you will get the info you need in that forum. i also have a copy of that stock file if need be. otherwise you will need to ditch the safc, and go hpt or stand alone.
good luck
