ok this is what i have

1 ld9
2 2.3 oil pump
3 balance bottom end
4 the secret cam swap
5 wisco pistons and eagle rods
6 stainless swivel polish vales 5 angle
7 gm supercharger

ok what im wanting to know is were can i go with my red line im not looking to rev this to 10,000
i know the cams i have make power past 6,500 i know 2.3s red line at around 7,500 and the vales springs on the 2.4 and 2.3 are the same so. im wondering is it safe to put it at 7,500 or just put it at 7,000 and it will be cool and using the full effect of the cams

and how much rpm can the 2.4 take be for the vales float

2.3 LO red lined at 6500 , HO around 6800 and W41 around 7200

not all motor make power to the rev limiter , alot of LO were lucky to make power past 5500

The bottom end doesn't have a whole lot to do with high revs, its the head that revs an engine. Like said above, you need to find where you stop making power and be happy with that.

well i do have the w41 cam in the exhaust it dose pull hard right to red line like it dose not fall on its face it pulls hardes from 4 to 6,5 then i hit the limite.. how much can the vales trane take i was going to bump it to 7 but i was not sure it it would destroy somthing lol then if its safe i wil try and then if it falls on its face after 68 then i know im were i need to be
i guess

best is to put it on a dyno and see where the power starts to fall

stock valve train in good shape should be ok to about 7k

What about the bottom end though? They have limits too before thy fly apart not just the top end. For example a stock small block chevys bottom end isnt supposed to be run past 6500 rpm.
