split hood kit

any of you have a split hood kit installed? if so, could you please post some pictures. i'd like an idea of what kind of cut i should do. if you havent heard of the split hood kit, check out the video clip here

comments on this kit would be nice as well, or ideas of what kind of cut i should do. thanks <br>

just take the plasma cutter, smooth the edge, find a hindge and some weather stripping <br>

i was referring to a straight vertical cut, diagonal, custom swirve, etc etc =P <br>

your hood will leek in the rain. this is not a good mod to do on a daily driver. unless you had a resessed part that would sit under the middle of the hood and attatched to one side for water to run down when it rains. otherwise it will leek. <br>

yeah... I had thought of the same thing.

It would take someone knowing enough about bending metal to build a groove at the seem to channel water, but it could definitely be done.

I am in the process of making my own now. Its totally made of fiberglass split in the center with a 1.5" lip overlap recessed in the center held all together with zeus fasteners. I will take some pics soon so i can post them.
