ok i remember it being up a while back but i searched and searched and i can not find it... i have the exact same hood.. and soon to be the exact same front bumper... i am wondering if any one knows how he did this? or if the owner of the car reads this and doesn't mind sharing his secret i would love to know.. what hinges did he use? for some reason i remember some one saying BMW hinges.. but from what one and how did you mount them to the hood? and where did you mount the hinges in the engine bay? and did you have to drill into the hood? or any where in the engine bay?
ahah sorry i for got to put the picture up.. here is it
and if the picture doesnt show.. it is the blue sunfire with the hood the opens toward the front like corvettes and such.
i like how the trunk opens looks sweet
PaCavalier
i wonder why anyone actually thought of doing this, i mean it looks cool but how the hell do you really get in that engine bay to work
i can help you with it ive seen the car in person and the hood you just get old buick hinges with the hood that opens like that and fab them in my friend used them the trunk is a bit trickier my email is below btw the car is owned by women
I like that a lot, Its different, I haven't seen many people at shows with that on a cav. Is it a certain year buick that has the hinges or any year buick will work?

i dont like the trunk....it basically makes the trunk almost useless..might as well just mold it shut
Its an older model buick, there a lot of s-10's with buick hinges around my area
hey no buick hindges here , i did my own set up , opens to a full 90 degrees i got photos on my cardomain my member name is yellowdrift i got kits up for grabes to make an install on this easy
2002 ls sport 15.600sec 1/4 88.2 mph "Turbo install in the process"
it all about love and respect for the game if you dont have that find a new game
Dude that hiding plate thing is kick ass!!!! Sell the car to James Bond!!!!
i dunno i think its kinda a bad mod
go with a split hood on a lift instead
that splits down the middle or soemthing
so you can still access your engine cus otherwise i mean thats no good unless your car is show only

Make it like old cars where each half opens at the center of the engine bay
all i have to say is i've always loved the hoods like that. I do like the trunk, looks sweet but like said above the trunk does seem useless. I really do like those wheels.
the way i did my hood didt take any modifications to the car at all , the hood still closes like factory and still uses the stock hood latch no hood pins price to do this mod wasnt one to break the bank i got kit that ive put up for sale for i small price shoot me an email for any info peace
