I have been reading up a lot on the drift rear from ECC Motorsports and everone says to use L-brackets to help the sac on it.

I have it on the way so what should I look for ?

Is this ture on can you get away without using them or shold I tell the guy painting my car that he might need to use them when putting it on ???

you will need some bracket of some kind i just ordered the soundspeed type II bumper its like a drift but with a center filler piece. they include a bracket of some kind to support the middle. if you dont have something there it will sag. i have the drift on my car now and it bows down in the middle

Or you could do it the way i'm doin it... Use ur actual bumper piece, take some time and make it fit right, then fill it with non-expanding "Great Stuff" to keep it firm. Not only will it not sag, but it will look professional, and you wont have to worry about people sitting on it and busting it off

yes there is a problem with a lot of drift rears, i had the same problem and im getting a BC2 rear to replace the drift rear cause i want it to look professional...you can cush your crush guard and use that to lift it up or use "L" bracket to lift it what you chose to do but with the brackets you have to watch for the bumper to be wavey when done.....at the bottom is what mine looed like

if anyone sat on my car i would beat them..a bumper is not a place to sit unless you have the bomex rear which seats 4 nicely...

My Cavalier is a 97, I converted the car over to an 03-05 style. I purchased the ECC drift urethane when it first came out here is what I had to do. I test fitted the bumper with the crush guard on. Realizing that it wouldnt work with it, I trimmed it down. Still didnt fit. I had to completely remove mine. My rear bumper doesnt sag and it sits flush. Very nice snug fit. Ive had it on for quite some time and yet my rear bumper hasnt sagged one bit.

thanks for all the info guys you have help me alot to tell the guys who is painting my car what he should look for for.

also does anyone know about how long it take them to ship something cause i seen that one post about the guy who ordered 2 months ago and i am hoping it won't take that long for mine to get here cause I already set a date to get my car painted...like 2 1/2 weeks from now.

I have read they all these places on here that sales stuff for cavaliers, that is doesn't take long on shipping. Is this true ?
