does anybody know if the tiburon spoiler fit on a cavalier? I have a stock 02 cavalier. I do know that I would have to fill the original holes with bondo etc. But is it possible to make one fit.

sure it'll be possible to get it to fit... might take just a little bit of work, but you can get it to fit.
and please tell me you weren't serious about filling the old holes with bondo. get the holes welded shut, bondo is not the correct way to fill a hole. it will crack in time and you'll have to repaint your trunk lid. weld the holes shut, don't half ass it.
yes it will work. its been done. on a black sunfire. a girl owned it. im drawing a blank on the name.

^^^ true... but i first saw the celica spoiler on a sunfire (spydarfire? i think...) and it inspired me to try it on my cav, which looked even better (IMO) and is not becoming somewhat popular. so i think if it works on a fire it will likely work alright on the cav.

hehe, sloping forward is better than sloping backwards...

i was serious ... but i didnt know bondo wont actually work well on holes. Ill just pay somebody to weld it for me.
Thanks for the help guys,

Yup, I put the Celica Spoiler on my car back in 2002, or early 2003..

Since the trunk slopes, I simply designed some custom perches that allow it to have the perfect levelling.
I think it looks great.. much like the RK wing, just lower profile.
Follow the lines of the rear perfectly!

you made custom perches for it? ^^^ i never new that. mine just bolted up directly. guess having a cav trunk can be nice, lol.

I dont know wha style of tiburon spoiler you are talkin about. But theres a 2002 one on mine. I had to make the middle post longer. But for $20 completed I think it looks pretty darn gud,
too short, i dont like the way it looks, and i have seen a red cavi around here with the tib spoiler you put a link to in your origional post, way too small and funny shaped for a cav.
i dont like that on the cav at all. doesnt fit the body lines. looks better on the sunfire.

i dont think he's looking for pics of a celica wing. the reason i brought it up is because they're similar in the way they mount, suggesting that it will indeed work.

ohh yeah ... forgot to mention the spoiler will be in tiburon blue (which is not that far off from indego blue metalic (00 - 02 blue)

If you look carefully you can see the curves pieces placed under the celica spoiler in order to ensure it ran smoothly against the curve of the trunk....

I just got a tiburon gt wing for my cav (similar to the wing on the silver tiburon in the picture)...getting ready to install it. It'll take a little work, but it'll look hot when it's done.
I'll post pics when it's done.
My boyfriend Joe has had the Tiburon Wing on his car way before Stargirl here is a pic of it, he took the center post out!
