yes you can glass onto carbon fiber...paint the hood with a design afterwards so it hides the fiberglass work
I have a few pic's of the process if you want them. Took about 2 1/2 hours to get to primer cost about $6...

yeah i was really hoping for the extractor hood, but they made the TS hood to help boost their cav TS hood sales. ahh well. still looks sick IMO.
and yes you can mold carbon to a carbon hood, but you will have to paint it like big poppa said. look up the blue sunfire from the bash....vince edwards was his name. he did a great job doing that to a predator c/f hood.

sure john thatd be great if u could post em or send em to me, i rememerb yours froma awhile back, but wasnt sure if u molded glass onto or more cf. I was planning on painting the hood either way so having to paint it is no problem.
When is someone just going to make a carbon fiber hood with eyelids (so it doesn have to be painted)? I'd be first in line to buy...

Where can you get eyelids other than ebay?

if you want to mold eyelids to a hood, you can easily make them yourself. on a fiberglass hood, you can cut out a template and fiberglass that into place. on a metal hood, you can cut a piece of metal and weld it into place. shouldn't take very long for either way.

back from the dead, john, did you have to do any special prepping to the cf to get the glass to stick or does it stick pretty good just with prep work you would do for "normal" glasswork?
