I have a body kit from soundspeed motorsports and was installing the rear bumper, well I sent them an email and they said that I I had to remove the crush guard for it to fit and that I had to use an L bracket in order for it to set snug against the trunk lid.

Anyone else have to do this with a kit?

Yeah, most kits need to have the crush guard removed or modified, and L brackets to reduce the sag.

i got the ss type 3 rear , but I was talking "in general"

yeah you gonna have to use the L bracket to hold the top of the bumper up.

not all kits require L brackets. but if yours do, its not necesarily a cheaply made kit. so dont be too worried about it.

here is what you do with the L brackets. "the car pictured is a local car that i sold the kit to and helped install myself. dont mind the california plates"
