I have been seeing the newer style Sunfires on the road with the body kits and the two-tier wings. A guy said he bought his right off of the lot that way from a local dealer. I did notice that the trunk lid is different from my 02 lid, but the wing appears that it might fit exactly where my stock wing is. Does anyone know if I can replace my stock wing with this new wing without having to modify my lid? If so where can I purchase this new wing? Any help or opinions are greatly appreciated since that dealer has no clue other than to buy the whole car!
well if its from the dealer im sure you can order the wing.i think its like gmpartsdirect.com look their or go to a diffrent dealership/call them to see if they cna get apart number and price.

As for getting rid of your stock wing, you will have to weld 5 holes shut, get it nice and smooth and repaint.
the trunk lids are the same, however, you're probably talking about the trunk panel. the part that holds the license plate. that's different, but the lid itself is the same.
the tails are different, the rear trunk panel is different, but the metal trunk is the same. trust me, me and cannon, and lowfire have all switched to the 03 design hehe. I'd be willing to bet it bolts into the same holes cuz sometimes GM is convenient like that. otherwise you have to weld the 7! holes shut, not 5. Unless lowfire's was different than mine, 3 in center, 2 on each side.
It is good to know that the trunk lid is the same. But does anybody know of the wing I am talking about?
