zymöl is good, meguiar gold class , mother california gold carnauba paste wax and turtle wax platinum are all good waxes!
Meguiar's Gold Class - black can OR Kit Car - yellow can
thanks what about the clay bars what exactly do they do?
The clay bar cleans the paint of old wax, and surface contaminents. It takes several hours to clay the whole car and then wax it but when your done it's well worth it, the paint is smooth as glass.

If you REALLY want to make your car shine like crazy, do this:
1. Buy a hand-held buffer machine (slower than 4000 rpms or you could damage your car's paint if you don't know what you're doing)
2. Buy Mother's 3 Phase Car Wax kit (or Meguiar's Deep Shine 3-Step system) and a clay bar kit
3. Wash your car with soap and water but before you dry it off use the clay bar on it while the car has soapy water still on it
4. Dry the car off
5. Use the buffer to apply the 3 waxes to your car
After you do all 3 steps your car should be super clean and the paint smooth as glass. If you also want another good product buy Meguair's ColorX and apply it with the buffer after you're done with the 3 step wax system. I have a bottle of the stuff and it's incredible how much better the car looks afterwards.
