correct me if i'm wrong, but it seems that the later model cavalier ls have color matched mirrors and door handles unlike the base models. are the handles still plastic, or are they metal? i'm assuming the mirrors wouldn't be too hard to swap the mirrors, but i'm wondering what would need to be done for the handles. any advice, comments, and suggestions are welcome. thanx.

After all, Civics need something nice to look at...
the mirrors are plastic... they are pretty simple to get off. remove the interior panel (triangle shaped piece), there should be some foam or something in there, just pull that out and you'll see 3 nuts. take those off and the mirror will come off. swap.
as for the handles, lift up on them and you'll see 2 rivets. drill those rivets out, unhook the handle from the rod and swap. just get new rivets to put in place first.
the handles are no different..and neither are the mirrors...why dont you just get your mirrors and handles painted?
i think i'll go with paint., prolly wait til i get new headlamps to open up and paint (encase i mess up, i'll still have usable ones), and maybe the rk pro stock wing. thanx for the suggestions guys.
