i just got my avenger rear put on and painted, but the exhaust is sticking out way too far...and i'm deciding if i should just set the one i have back or get a new one....for everyone who has the avenger rear, please post pictures of it and the muffler on it. also, have you had any problems w/ the exhaust turnin the bumper black or warping it? please help me out, i dont want to drive around w/ my car looking like it took viagra and it has a hard on from the back! thanks
why not just set it back, not that hard, all you do is cut the exhaust back xxxxxx amount of inches and weld it back.
i was thinkin that i just want to make sure its going to look ok and it wont warp the bumper or turn it black
as long as theirs some space between the bumper and exhaust it should be fine.if it rubs against or is touching the bumper then obviously its gonna mess up the bumper or paint from the heat.it may bubble the paint or warp the bumper. just make sure you got some space all around and it should be good.
take a pic of your bumper/exhaust the way it is now i wanna see how far your exhaust goes from the bumper.

here's a pic of the exhaust:
Thats nuts bro, id say cut that sucker back about 3-4 inches.
chop that back a bit man, then itll be good......
pull it back in and see if you can get it level w/ the ground. mufflers dont look good point at the ground
i agree, when i first got the muffler it was a must bc i had a type j and the stock muffler was behind it and warpin the bumper....so i just had them make it to fit the type j...now that i have the avenger, i have to get it reset....how much should this cost? i know a place around here that will probably charege like $75 bucks to do it...high? i dont have stuff to weld, so i have to take it somewhere
